To be really local in contributing for food inadequacies the Shaftsbury, the United Methodist Church, on Church Street, Shaftsbury, has its food shelf behind the church open the 2nd and last Friday of each month (i.e Today, Apr. 24). So if you would like to make a contribution today would work. Otherwise, you can contact the church secretary, Beth, at 442-4509, to arrange another time.

Additionally, food items are accepted and available to Shaftsbury residents at GBICS  (“Greater Bennington Interfaith Community Services”). Their Kitchen Cupboard is located at GBICS at 121 Depot Street in Bennington, VT, one block west of the intersection of US Route 7 and Vermont Route 9 (Main Street).
