revolutionary war flagEbeneezer Cole was the father of #12. Parker Cole. Ebezener was a Revolutionary War soldier and attained the rank of sergeant in the 1st Regiment of of Massachusetts. His date of military service was April 1781.

He was a civil engineer and surveyor. Was chosen to subdivide the land and lay out the town of Shaftsbury. At the beginning of the Revolutionary War he was a Magistrate for the Crown but was asked to leave by the town council. Three of his sons served as soldiers in the "Shaftsbury Company"
