revolutionary war flagThere were four Matteson brothers from Shaftsbury who were Green Mountain Boys. They were: Capt. Peleg Matteson, Capt. Peter Matteson, Capt. Phillip Matteson (buried in Buffalo, NY) and Benjamin Matteson (buried in Manchester Center, VT)
