Samuel Millington's name does not appear in the Vermont Rolls in the Revolutionary War 1775-1883 (J. E. Goodrich 1904). However he is in the (Mass. (In The Rev. War) Soldiers & Sailors, Vol. 10, Pg. 787 which documents him as from Bennington, on a list of men mustered between January 20, 1777- and June 1, 1778, Truman Wheeler, Muster Master for Berkshire County, Capt. Chadwick's company, Col. Brewer's regiment, term 3 years or during war; also Private, Capt. Mean's company, Col. Sprout's regiment, on Continental Army pay accounts for service from February 1 to November 25, 1777; reported deserted November 25, 1777; also Capt. John Chadwick's company, Col. Brews regiment, on return dated January 22, 1778; residence, Pennington engaged for town of Tyringham. DAR Patriot Index pg. 471. Pvt.
