Sergt. Josiah Perry was on a Pay Roll of Capt. Bigelow Lawrence's Company in Col. Herrick's Regiment of Militia while in the the service in the alarm October 1780. He was in service for 17 days and traveled 110 miles.

Ensign Josiah Perry is on the Pay Roll of Capt. Bigelow Lawrence's Company, Col Walbridge's Regiment for services done in assisting the sheriff in Windham County, in Sept. 1782, said company commanded by Ensign Josiah Perry. He was in service for 5 days and traveled 45 miles. He received 1.16.3
