revolutionary war flag Record of Conn. Men in Mil. and Naval Service During the Rev. War, 1775-1783. By Henry P. Johnston. Hartford. 1889. (17,779 p.): 639 From the S. Clark Munger papers, Gowanda Historical Society, Gowanda NY “Hulett Family”

Aaron Hulet does not appear in the Vermont Rolls in the Revolutionary War 1775-1883 (J. E. Goodrich 1904). He was a Revolutionary War Patriot having served in NY and CT.

According to a family story "Asahel Hulett, son of Aaron Hulet, was born at Shaftsbury VT in 1800. His father Aaron Hulett was a groomsman for (George) Washington's horses and he served seven years in the Revolutionary War." It appears this Aaron Hulet was not a GMB, but was a Patriot having served in CT.
