These four soldiers were all brothers;
Amos,
David,
Jacob and
Jonas Galusha. They were born to Jacob Galusha Sr. and Lydia (Huntington) Galusha.
Three other brothers; Jacob Jr., Daniel and Elijah, were Revolutionary War Soldiers in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Cap. Galusha was in the Canadian campaign in Col. Seth Warner's regiment. He commanded two companies at the Battle of Bennington, served in Burgoyne's campaign and was at the surrender.
Capt. Jonas Galusha's Company in Col. Herrick's Regiment of Militia for service done in an alarm in April, 1780.He walked 60 miles in 3 days. State of Vermont Rolls in the Revolutionary War 1775-1883 J.E. Goodrich 1904 pg. 175
He next was with Capt. Cyprian Downer's Alarm Company in Col. Herrick's Regiment of Militia while in service Oct.1780. He was in service for 10 days and traveled 86 miles. State of Vermont Rolls in the Revolutionary War 1775-1883 J.E. Goodrich 1904 pg. 240

Sept. 22 Capt. Wm. Fitch named Capt. Jonas Galusha with the fifty men of the militia of Col. Moses Robinson's Regiment now under his command directed to repair to the Honorable Major General Gates, who is the Commander in Chief of the Northern Department: Capt.
