If you sign up for the town newsletter either from a link on our website, the town facebook page or if a friend forwards you the town newsletter; it is all the same list. The Town of Shaftsbury promises not to share this list with any other organization. If you signup for the mailing list and give us your mobile number it will be added to the emergency/informational list that we are compiling for SMS purposes. All this means is, if we have an Emergency or something Very Important that the Town thinks everyone should know. The Town will send a Text Message (SMS) to this list.
