revolutionary war flagThese four soldiers were all brothers; Amos, David, Jacob and Jonas Galusha. They were born to Jacob Galusha Sr. and Lydia (Huntington) Galusha. Three other brothers; Jacob Jr., Daniel and Elijah, were Revolutionary War Soldiers in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Lt. Jacob Galusha is on a Pay Roll of Capt. Lyon's Company of Alarm for service done in the year 1780. In March he was in service 5 days and traveled 60 miles. In October he was in service 15 days and traveled 100 miles. State of Vermont Rolls in the Revolutionary War 1775-1883 J.E. Goodrich 1904 pg. 172)

He was also on a Pay Roll of Cap.t Jacob Hines' Company in Arlington that went out in the Alarm to the Westward, December, 1781. He was in service 3 days and traveled 20 miles. State of Vermont Rolls in the Revolutionary War 1775-1883 J.E. Goodrich 1904 pg. 549)

Jacob Galusha's name appears on a Pay Roll of the men belonging to Arlington who assisted the Sheriff of the County of Cumberland in the execution of his office in May and June, 1779. State of Vermont Rolls in the Revolutionary War 1775-1883 J.E. Goodrich 1904 pg. 802)

Jacob Galusha name is also, in the Record of Service of Connecticut Men in the War of the Revolution. He served as a private before moving to Shaftsbury.
