DATE: Friday, June 26, 2026
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Crews will be off-site by noon on Thursday, July 2, in observance of Independence Day (Fourth of July) and will return to the project area on Monday, July 6.
TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: From Monday, June 29, through Wednesday, July 1, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and on Thursday, July 2, between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m., flaggers will be on-site periodically to direct alternating one-way traffic on the Vermont Route 67A (VT 67A), Silk Road, Matteson Road, and College Drive approaches to the VT 67A roundabout. Traffic will be maintained on the roundabout.

Notice for truck traffic: the Silk Road covered bridge near VT 67A has a 10'6" height limit. Drivers are advised to slow down, use caution, and pay attention to flaggers and signage.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Next week, crews are scheduled to complete installation of streetlight wiring and rectangular rapid flashing beacons. Landscaping work will continue, including within the infiltration basin and at the College Drive approach to VT 67A. Crews will also install the Bennington College sign.
