Bennington Roundabout Project
Current Updates:
DATE: Wednesday July 17, 2026
TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: From Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., flaggers will direct alternating one-way traffic on the Vermont Route 67A (VT 67A), Silk Road, Matteson Road, and College Drive approaches to the VT 67A roundabout. Traffic will be maintained on the roundabout. Motorists should expect delays during line striping operations and allow extra travel time through the work zone.
Notice for truck traffic: the Silk Road covered bridge near VT 67A has a 10'6" height limit. Drivers are advised to slow down, use caution, and pay attention to flaggers and signage.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: The installation of permanent line striping and pavement markings at the VT 67A roundabout, including the VT 67A, Silk Road, Matteson Road, and College Drive approaches, is scheduled for next week. This work is weather dependent. Crews will also conduct landscaping activities, including placing topsoil, and general clean-up.
