The Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest and Parade was Excellent

The Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest and Parade was on Saturday, October 18, 2025, to promote the Shaftsbury Dog Park!

The festivities began at 5:30 PM with a costume dog parade led by Grand Marshall Harold Rowe, the Shaftsbury Dog Park project's longtime supporter. We had so many dogs and owners show up for the festivities, it was just wonderful. It was lots of fun.

The Contest Winners:

FUNNIEST was Monet, 8 yr old toy poodle dressed in a boxer costume who is owned by Jeri Schoof.

SPOOKIEST was Minnie, 2 yr old mixed breed dressed as a witch who is owned by Caitlin Harrington.

MOST AWESOME DOG/OWNER DUO was Summit, 5yr old mixed breed. Summit and owner Kate O’Neill dressed as mimes.
