First, check to see if there is an opening on a board or committee that aligns with your interests. If you find one, you'll need to submit a brief letter to the Board or Committee Chair expressing your interest in volunteering for that specific group.
If you have a résumé that highlights relevant experience, you are encouraged to include it with your letter.
Your information will be reviewed by the board and shared with the appropriate committee. If the committee or board believes you may be a good fit, they will invite you to attend a meeting
and participate in an informal interview. This is also a great opportunity for you to determine whether the group is a good match for you. You're welcome to attend meetings
beforehand via Zoom at any time.
Following this initial meeting, you will be interviewed by the Select Board, which is responsible for officially appointing members to boards and committees.
Once approved by the Select Board, your appointment will be finalized and you will officially become a member.
